Women's Center Mission

The Women’s Center supports the social, professional, spiritual, physical, intellectual & emotional facets of women’s lives.  We empower women to become active leaders in their communities.  The Center advocates, educates and provides direct service in support of women’s equity and safety at the University and within the greater community. The Center serves as a resource and is committed to assisting the University in creating and fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community.

  • Facilitates student development through co-curricular experiences that affirm student’s identities, recognize the intersecting identities of women and foster leadership opportunities.
  • Develops & sponsors programming that celebrates and recognizes women as leaders, activist and scholars.
  • Offers support services, referrals, advocacy, training & education regarding issues of gender-based and sexual violence.
  • Fosters activism and social change through collaboration with the University and local community.
